Looking forward to the Art of Autism tour coming to a city near you. Last night we watched amazing performances by people with autism and advocates in the field. An all-star line-up including a touching performance by Elaine Hall, eye-opening dialogue by Keri Bowers and Eustacia Cutler, and self-advocate Marcy Deutsch. The night included wonderful art created in the moment by J.A. Tan and Gregory Blackstock. Looking forward to May 19 at the Barnsdall Theater. Go Keri!

Artism: The Art of Autism offers an incredible glimpse into the imaginative worlds of people living on the autism spectrum. The book, featuring artists of all ages and from all parts of the world, shows that autism has no boundaries. The artwork and voices in this book adds another dimension of understanding to how autism manifests differently in each person diagnosed.

At once, inspiring and myth defying, the art spans a range of emotion and subject material. With 218 full-color illustrations, accompanied by extensive quotes from 54 artists and their families, this is a must read for those who are interested in the creative potential of the human mind.

The second in a series, Artism: The Art of Autism, leaves the reader asking for more.
